About The Department

The Department of Hotel Management was established in year 2010. The department provides high class education to meet international hospitality standards and professional competence to students. It offers a programme that caters to four main areas; Food Production, Food and Beverage Service (F&B), Front office and Accommodation Management.
The students are prepared for various aspects of the hospitality industry such as Core Operations, Management, Sales and Marketing.
Our curriculum combines theory with authentic hands-on learning experience and students have numerous opportunities to interact with industry professionals. Students also get access to hands-on real-life training programme incorporated in their day to day activities to facilitate their on-job training. All the programmes introduced are decided in guidance and consultation of reputed industrialists from various hotels.

    • Identifying and developing critical managerial qualities are the primary focus of faculty members.
    • Innovative teaching methods are adopted in order to clarify concepts and hypotheses.
    • Demonstrates a familiarity with the day-to-day operational procedures of a typical hotel or restaurant property and basic familiarity with the proper use and care of common kitchen and dining room equipment.
    • Applies cost control concepts and develops appropriate systems and tools for the day-to-day management and operations of lodging or food service business.

Message From The Head Of Department:-

We welcome all aspiring students to join the Department of Hotel Management. The Department is determined to create a world-class centre in hospitality education, with the technical assistance of experts and reputed personalities from the industry and academics. Within a short span of time from its inception, the department has achieved position of being one of the most sought after Institute of Hotel Management in India.
The Department is equipped with training kitchens, housekeeping laboratory, front office laboratory, computer laboratory and Wi-Fi Internet; state–of–the–art auditorium and conference centre, and a world-class library which ensure practical training in a professional hotel environment. Students are placed at various hotels of international repute like Taj, Oberoi, Leela, ITC, Marriot, Hyatt to name a few. The Department offers a four-year (8 Semester) Bachelor's Degree and Diploma Program in Hotel Management. The program lays emphasis on practical application of theoretical lessons through training, laboratory work, hands on workshops, theme parties, projects and study tours. To have a real life experience of Industry students go on "Industrial Exposure Training" for 6 months in various Star Hotels.

Mr. Sushant Sharma has done MBA, BHMCT, B.Com. and D.C.S. and is working as Asst Prof. and HOD of the Department. He has fifteen years of teaching and industry experience in hospitality industry. His areas of interest are: Food and Beverage, Service and House keeping sector.

Mr. Pankaj Tyagi has done MTM, DHMCT, and B.Sc. and is working as Asst Prof. in the Department. He has eleven years of teaching experience in hospitality industry. His areas of interest are: Food Production and Front office Management.
